| “ We need an online course catalogue and booking system to manage the booking of courses and events.” |
"The deployment of the CEBAS system was highly effective and extremely well received by the users and I would not hesitate in recommending CES for any other projects” – Alison Hall, Stirling Council
The client:
Stirling Council is a key community and advisory organisation assisting more than 88,000 people who make up its population
The challenge:
Stirling Council Children’s Services support teaching staff by supplying and managing the booking of courses and events which helps towards teachers’ Continuing Professional Development. The objective of the project was to provide an online course catalogue that all the teaching staff could access and a booking administration system for the Administration team to use to manage the bookings on the courses and events.
The technology:
IBM Lotus Domino Server, IBM Lotus Notes Clients for the Administration Team and Web browser access for the teaching staff and support staff.
The solution:
CES deployed a Training Management and Continual Professional Development (CPD) tracking application used by all teachers across the Stirling region. The system is based on our bookit event management application. As part of the project CES ran a number of stakeholder workshops during the development cycle and then post development, conducted presentations for staff that would be using the system and hands on training for the (local) school administrators and (central) system administrators.
The project was a huge success, with 1,800 education staff currently using the system.
