“ We need a website and tenant portal that is easily accessible for visitors and secure for tenants to allow them to interact directly with the Association to log repairs, arrange call-backs and pay their rent on-line”

“The CES team has delivered an excellent product which meets all of the objectives identified at the outset. The help and advice provided throughout the design and implementation phases has been terrific, with team members always available when needed. The CMS system makes the maintenance of the site a simple task and the content and functionality of the site and portal provide an enhanced service to our customers” - Ray Quinn, Inquilab Housing Association

The client:

Inquilab HA  currently provide over 1100 units for affordable rent and shared ownership options and have big plans to grow. Inquilab are committed to helping whole communities thrive and offer a range of support to promote training and employment initiatives across their neighbourhoods.

The challenge:

Inquilab wanted a website that would be a valuable source of information for residents and visitors to their area. They wanted to be able to make the services on offer easily accessible to all, and to provide Tenants with secure, confidential access to information such as Rent balances at any time – not just office hours.

A further requirement was to allow Tenants to interact directly with the Association by logging repair requests, arranging meetings and call-backs from staff and to provide the facility to pay their rent on-line

The technology:

The Podium Content Management System provides the means for non-technical people to update and maintain a website with images and written content. The Portal software from CES allows secure integration to back-office systems and corporate information by approved users that have been granted appropriate levels of access.

The solution:

Working closely with Inquilab CES designed a website based on the Podium Content Management System (CMS).

This provided Inquilab with a website environment that reflected their corporate image and was accessible and easy to use by visitors. The Podium CMS makes it easy to add pages and update content to keep the website informative about current events and opportunities, even by staff with limited IT experience. Particular use has been made of photographs of staff and residents to reinforce the inclusive nature of the website.

To provide secure access to sensitive information Inquilab also implemented a Tenant Portal which has the same look and feel as the website, and so provides a seamless transition from public to private Tenant areas secured by user-ID and password. Once ‘logged in’ the Tenants can access a range of services and information that is hidden to the casual visitor to the site. The Tenant Portal allows information from Inquilab’s Housing Management system to be viewed by only the Tenant that it is relevant to – information such as Rent balance, recent transactions, Repair request status etc. – as well as being able to make payments, log repairs  and request contact.

By using the Website Analytics software that was installed as part of the implementation Inquilab has seen that the website has been used by an increasing numbers of visitors since going live. By giving Tenants the ability to query their Rent status on-line, or to check on requested Repair status through the Tenant Portal, Inquilab has reduced the workload on its staff while providing a range of extended services.
